Reliving childhood memories while interviewing Chris was definitely amusing for both of us. We talked about the endless hours of him tossing his younger cousins, me included, into the water at Sylvia Lake. Most days we would play king of the raft, where he would push each one of us off the floating dock like we were dominoes. This interview was so enjoyable for me because it was a window into a part of Chris's life that I didn't know much about. I was ecstatic when he offered to take me down to the station and show me around. I learned about his dream job and also about fire fighting in general. For example, fire fighters keep their boots in their pants to minimize the time it takes to get dressed. Before the interview, Chris warned me that he probably wasn't going to be very interesting. It turned out to be the best interview I have ever had.
